Youth wanted after tram fire

POLICE are hunting a passenger who set fire to a tram seat.
Six males aged between 16 and 20 got on the Metrolink tram at Bury Interchange at 10.30am on Monday January 2.
One of them set fire to an item and put it on a seat. The gang watched it burn before getting off at Besses o’ th’ Barn Station.
A worried passenger alerted the driver who extinguished the blaze.
Police have issued a CCTV image of the man they believe started the fire. Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 8162.
